I Have recently started getting an oil burning smell come into the car, i have lifted the bonnet and smoke was coming off the turbo, while the car is being driven everything seems ok,Boost is there, starts ok, ticks over ok but if i let it stand and tick over it starts smokin and looks like oil as sprayed onto turbo, a week ago i had a full decat, the car is an 05 WRX anyone got any ideas????????????????? i'm trying to get it into the clinic on saturday for a re-map

 

it sounds like oil may be leaking onto the turbo? when i had a punto gt, the bearing went and it started to burn oil and smoke then eventually blew. u may be lucky and have a slight oil leek somewhere and its dropping onto turbo (very hot) and causing smoke??
