six speed vibration...HELP?

Default six speed vibration...HELP?

my mate has just fit a uk six speed box in his 2.5 version 4 wagon.its all fit in ok but theres a vibration (balancing?) at around 80 mph.this happens in any gear. its almost as if the wheels are out of balance but his fit new wheels and tyres and this hasnt resolved it???????

I had a similar problem at 100 mph+, when i first fitted my 6 speeder...

Turned out to be the prop shaft - both UJ's were notchy

If the parts you had for the conversion were from an accident damaged car, then there is a risk that the prop is bent/damaged.

It may look perfect on the garage floor, but at speed the rotational dynamics take over.
Simply look in the Yellow Pages for a prop specialist and have it checked.fixed.
