Default Should i get a dump valve?

I have a 99 turbo, PPP, full HKS and decats, producing 276bhp. I don't really want the sound, but is there any benefits on getting an after market dump valve - atmospheric or closed ? Or do i just stay with factoru one?
Cheers

Speaking to others because i asked the same question, i was told that a dump valve was harmful to the turbo due to unused boost being forced out of a small hole. I thought that it was good to have a dump valve but am not so sure now ???

some people run with no DV on cars with mitsi turbos (read more sturdy), it is not recommended on cars with IHI turbos fitted as they are more fragile, personally i would stick with your std recirc DV
