I retro fitted mine with the help of Silver Sonic from Scoobynet and i got the impression that you need to fit the correct a/c for the car. The a/c systems also vary from year to year.
Get in touch with API - they supplied all the right parts for me at a very good price

There's a company called Coolair (01522 682288) in Lincoln who fit a Subaru approved system. About £950 all in.

£950
I got all my parts for about £200 IIRC and then £50 odd for the re-gas
With a bit of help it's quite easy to fit yourself
