New Member - Advice needed
I have just bought a 2001 bug eye and am looking for some advice on the best mods to get.
I'm not really interested in changing the look of the car, I can even cope with the headlights.
However I would like to improve handling and performance. Any suggestions from owners of similar cars would be great.

Hello, got an MY01 bugeye myself .
The performance enhancing things I have done are a full decat and sti filter, certainly made a differance . These items are always coming up for sale on here.
Good luck

Performance - improve the breathing of the car, ie change to a decat exhaust or air filter that has bigger holes
Handling - Rear whiteline sway bar I believe is quite popular.
Styling - Gear ****
It really depends, each to their own.

Thanks very much for your advice.
One thing I have noticed so far (I've only had it 3 days though) is the brakes seem a bit spongy initially. Do they take a while to warm up? They are new pads because the garage I bought it from did a full service first.
Is this a characteristic or a fault with mine?

If they are new brakes then give them a couple of hundred miles first before you slam on them,.. And they will improve as soon as they bed in a little
