Hi all, I've bought an aftermarket top mount for my newage WRX, but it doesn't come with the thin metal pipes which run along the bottom of the current I/C - do I really need them? Are they just vent pipes for excess moisture or something?

They are the rocker cover vent pipes.
If the pipes are taken off your old IC, are there holes in your new IC to remount them?
If not then you'll have to make your own set, say out of reinforced hose or combine with installing a catch tank.

You could try raldes.co.uk or demon-tweeks.co.uk but its very nothing special. Clear reinforced hose but the size escapes me and you'll need hose joiners.
