Default TD05 vs VF28

what's better gents for a MY99 upgrade? there's a chance for a cheap VF28 and i was wondering what's the better option cos so many seem to go for the TD05 route.
i'm looking for anywhere between 320/340 bhp with good drivability as i want a good fast road car

Both turbos will make the power, both have similar spool characteristics, but if you would like to go a bit further in the future then the TD will be the one to go for.

It should be OK at that power, but you will obviously need to map the ecu to suit the new turbo.
