To post this at all, but the Scoob I`ve recently bought has a tax-disc holder with a wire attached to it.

I want to change the holder, but the wire goes down into the corner of the windscreen, and appears to go behind the dashboard in that corner.

What`s the wire for ? Anybody any clues..................

I don`t want to start loosening the dash if it`s just something simple, but I`ve not seen one like this before.

Any help greatly appreciated.............

 

Most likely a mobile phone aerial that wires into a proper fitted hands-free kit. It is an alternative to having an external aerial.
