split end tank...
hi all
today my rad let go, i knew that i was leaking at little bit, steam now and again after a run and loosing water, about 3ltrs per 100miles. i ordered a new one on wednesday and it arrived today just after mine gave up. very lucky
good job we have those holes in the bonnet or i dont think i would have noticed untill the need was in the bad area of the gauge!
fitted now and running very well. filled very slowly! looking at the broken rad, the crack seems to be along a small seam made in the forming of the end tank, directly the other side of where the top hose goes in. major flaw im thinking, worth a look if ur still on orginal rad, mines a my98 turbo classic. if u was on the m4 around 8am then u might have seem me, jct 47. i was steaming!
