Default Water Temp

My water temp takes ages to warm up, then while driving the temp goes down. once i stop in traffic the temp goes back to normal. The commander shows this temp drop and increase and the needle on the dash also physically moves. any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Follow the bottom rad hose to the engine. Where this pipe is attached to is the thermostat housing.
