Default slippery coatings

i got a brochure today from a company called Calico Coatings, who manufacture special slippery coated engine bearings, they also offer a service to coat any engine part with a slippery substance or heat reflective coating?
the exhaust coating reduces under "hood" (yes it's American) temp by upto 30% which is a lot, they can coat pistons, rods, valve trains and heads as well.
was wondering what the engine building experts have to say about all of this, as i understand the theory of it all, but in practice??? who knows. prices are cheap too!
if it all works then i guess it would be of benefit those building new engines?
