Default Newage DIY turbo swap??

I'm thinking about swapping the turbo on my newage blobeye wrx with the help of a competent friend, and was wondering if any specialist tools will make my job any easier?

Do I need any long sockets?

Anyone got any advice/can point me to any links which give a step by step guide?

How much time should I allow? I'm thinking 3 weekends (I'm in the fortunate position that I don't have to rely on the car for work).

Any advice greatfully received

unless it's not a direct replacement, there's no way you need three weekends..... unless you do 2hr days.... and even then you wouldn't need that long... i would recomend a deep 14mm socket for the nuts that hold the turbo to the up-pipe... they can 'round' off if using a shallow one...... other than that, simple tools will suffice.... i don't think i've forgotten anything.....

3 weekends

If everything comes undone easily allow 4 hours to remove & fit new turbo. Spray the downpipe studs/nuts the night before with penetrating oil and it will help with removal.

If its a new age WRX it will be worth changing the up-pipe as well to get rid of the pesky cat in the up-pipe.

lol no the other guy is a mate of mine with a Prodrive V7 sti.

Going to replace the up and down pipes at the same time, also change injectors and fuel pump, then hopefully get Andy F to remap it

Yeah by 3 weekends I meant

1st weekend take turbo off and send away (part exchange)
2nd weekend receive new turbo and fit
3rd weekend fit up/downpipes and ancillaries
