Hi I have seen a intercooler on ebay from a 51 reg car http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...%3AUK%3A1&rd=1 will this fit a '97 UK Turbo (Will I need to modify anything) and will I notice any improvement over the stock item as mine has some damaged fins?

I have done exactly this mod

I cut the Dump valve mount off and had a pipe and plate welded on to take the std DV as the mount interfeared with the ISCV (Idle control valve).

I can't say what improvements were made as I fitted a 2.5 engine at the same time but i'ts running a 2.5 with a TD05-20G at 1.3bar quite happly

 

If your going to do it, use the STi one, its much better and keeps the new age STi's charge temps down right upto & beyond power levels of 350 HP
