Default What can you do with 2k?

My scoob is a Ver 5 STi with a magnex b.box and k+n panel filter.

I'm wondering whether to start to modify the engine a little for better performance and could possibly stretch to 2k all in.

My question is: What would this get me and what is the most sensible first steps to take.

I'd assume the exhaust would be a starting point but beyond that I'm not sure.

Any suggestions would be great!

Cheers

That would depend on what you want from your car?

I don't think I wanna go for crazy power but a little more. I do want some nicer wheels etc but that's not included in the 2k. Suspension could do with being fettled possibly too...

not sure what's available at the price to be fair...

it's either all power, all handling or a mixture...

Remap £550-750ish
De-cat £300 (s/h)
Fuel Pump £100ish
FPR? £160ish

That spec should get over 300bhp mark. If much over you may want to add headers+uprated i/c.

Use the rest for geo/arbs/brakes etc

Brakes first so you get decent stoppers, geo check/setup, fuel pump and maybe fsr, decat and remap should be close to 2k with that

What should the Sti be as std - isn't it 276bhp or so? would a remap / exhaust . fuel gubbins see any more than 300bhp?

My last uk classic had a full decat and remap and went from 215bhp to 248.5bhp (scoobyclinic rollers) which is higher than that above....

When you say decent stoppers, are you meaning bigger ones or uprated discs and pads etc etc? It's got the 4 pots on now (98 Ver 5 STi) with grooved discs etc
