03 sti poor cold start/battery
HI,
I've owned my scooby 2 months now and it has been a hoot so far , but... the 1st battery (original) was getting weak a couple of weeks ago i.e alarm noise on start-up so I replaced it. Cool... i thought. Now especially on cold mornings or night time it has been really low power/voltage cranking over. On two occassions needing a small bump start to get it running. i've not done anything silly like left lights on or radio but the girl is denting my confidence in her! Is this a usual problem or a warranty job?
Any help for a newbie would be appreciated
Cheers

Quite a few of us have been there - even with the warrenty exchange battery (60Ahr) A lot of the blame goes on the tracker.
I treated myself to a AccuMate battery conditioner (automatic trickle charger) and just plug it in and forget it if I'm not using the car for a few days.

Just live with it or maybe a book into local dealer to look at alternator or charging system might put me on the right track? Brand spankin new battery 2 weeks old or so being a pooper can't be right...... can it..
