HELP cant detatch gearbox!!!

Angry HELP cant detatch gearbox!!!

Can anyone please help trying to detatch gearbox from my97 uk turbo to change slipping clutch have removed bolts around housing top and bottom mountings driveshafts cluch arm ect and also loobed the dowls but cant get it to detach from engine have i missed or done somthing wrong?

"top left of gearbox theres an allen keyed plug remove it screw in a m6 bolt and pull out the pivot shaft which will release the clutch fork(as its a puller instead of a pusher)" is highly likely to be the but you've missed

sorry have released fork but still stuck tight if housing is aluminium are dowls steel? could heat be used as can only use so much force do not want to break anything!!!

They all stick, the dowels glue themselves to the gearbox... JOY!!!

It'll take lots of wobbling and shaking, i ended up beating wedges in the gap to break the seal.... gently of course!!

A real bitch.
Mine took 2 hours to split and some (new) swear words.

Worst part of the job, except putting it all back in!

Oh, and for reference, if you have to remove the box again after a week like i did, be aware that it won't be stuck, and it'll want to flatten you....

Best thing to use is some wedges and a crowbar. And don't forget a pair of jacks and a plank of wood to lower it
