Hi all,
Thinking of Decatting the centre section of my MY99 soon, going to go back to H&S (already have the H&S orginal scooby design backbox). I was just wondering what the difference between a resonated and non-resonated centre section was in terms of sound (i.e. volume and tone) and performance (i.e. does one flow better than the other?) I'd like a bit more of the flat four rumble to find its way into the cabin without becomming too intrusive! I know there aren't huge gains from the centre section decat, but I'm going to do the downpipe close to a time when I can get the remap done for safetys sake.
All the best.

performance wise the resonated wont make much diff, but get the downpipe done
I had a straight thru centre on my MY00 and Magnex oval back box. TBH the droning at 75-80mph did my head in. Then fitted a resonated centre, and oh what bliss, still had the flat 4 burble but the droning had all but gone.
Miss the burble on my JDM STi though.

i have full Ninja system, decat, resonated center, nice roar on full chat, luvly burble on idle, no droning on cruise
which is why is choose the resonated center
dont think theres much of a diff performance wise
