Front Flap bodywork drilling..?!?!
I've got a set of front flaps to fit to my scoob but been putting it off as I'm reluctant to drill the inner arch on an 05 car..!
Basically I want to ensure that the drilled holes are adequately rust proofed. As there isn't access behind the drilled panel I can't see how this can be acheived..?!
Any thoughts welcome..

If they are screwed with self tappers?
why not drill the holes, then fill with waxoil then squirt a small ammount of silicone in the hole and on the end of the screw before putting them in.
thats gotta be your best bet?
any other views?

Cheers guys,
that's basically what I had in mind, although adding the silicon sounds a good idea for a bit more protection.
Do you know if the panel that's drilled (presume it's the same for most flap brackets..?) is just box section or part of the bulk head, in other words whats behind it..?
