Water spray on a FMIC

Water spray on a FMIC
Anyone done it and is it worth the bother?
Just fitted a Hybrid to my Type R and came up with a great idea of piercing small holes in a rubber tube and running it along the top of the i/c. I was hoping that they'd be small enough that the water wouldn't syphon out and give a fine spray over the front of the i/c. In practice it was too tricky to get them all exactly right and it just drains after the first use.
Has anyone had any better ideas or is it just a waste of time on a front mount?
Cheers
