Default Front mount fitting

I've just got a front mount intercooler for my '99 UK turbo, was wondering if I need to cut anything before I start fitting it? And how it mounts behind the bumper and does the bumper need to be trimmed?

From what I've seen of the Autobahn fmic kit they are very similar to the hybrid that i have fitted to my MY98 STi there are a few good fitting threads,

Theres a couple to get you started.

As for trimming your front bumper i'm not sure about the MY99 > bumper but theres not to much left of mine.

That first FMIC fitting thread is mine

Oh dear god the amount of bumper I had to cut away was mental Also had to angle grind a load of the bodywork to fit the two pipes coming from the FMIC. Finally had to loose the fog lights

I just kept reminding myself that it was all in a good cause & that I never used the fogs anyway

I dunno what it'd be like on a MY99 with cutting but I guess it'll be just as bad depending on the depth of the FMIC. The ones frpm ebay are FAT!!
