Equal length Manifold

What are main advantages of an equal length manifold over an unequal length manifold.
How much power difference would there be compared to the standard manifold?

Have a look here under 'Equal Length Manifold' ELM , its on the options down the left. Only one example and only comparison was with standard manifold.
