Advice needed to replace stnd MY01 WRX steering wheel.
The standard WRX steering wheel is simply too big.
Anyone know if there's a smaller version available that still has an airbag fitted?
Is the STi one smaller, and would it bolt straight on? How much..?!!
If I go for one without an airbag, what electrickery do I need to be aware of as regards the airbag warnings/sensors?
Thanks all.

The newage STi wheels are smaller and will fit - but the job is much easier if you get the STi wiring to go with it as well.
The battery should be disconnected for about 30 mins before the airbag is removed but the rest of the work is very basic unscrewing.
The STi wiring loom needs an extra mounting hole added.
The 02-05 STi wheels were silver, but the 05 versions are black and come with airbags.
Price wise, new ones are IRO £1100 from Subaru but can be had elsewhere for IRO £300 new, which includes wheel, airbag and loom.
If interested then drop me a PM as I can get hold of them.

Poorly empty wallet!
Thanks for the tips - I'll be in touch once my wallet has magically filled itself up again (some hope!) following buying discs and pads from E-bay this morning to fix my wobbly brakes.
