My exhaust temp prob is currently disconnected. If I connect it I get a light on the dash so I leave it disconnected. (cel doesnt light up or flash and no ecu errors).

Does the ecu use this sensor, if not what is it used for? just wondering as it must be used for something otherwise subaru wouldnt have put it on the vehicle originally.
It is an my93, any help or info would be appreciated
