My '03 wrx bonnet won't shut
I know its not very technical but it clicks onto the catch but won't completely shut. I just opened it to check the oil - it didn't want to shut last week but finally did. I can go into dealer tomorrow, but does anyone know a quick fix?
Hi
Check the pull handle that releases the bonnet has fully retracted back to its normal position, pull it a couple of times and make sure it goes back then try to close/latch the bonnet agian, this might work.

If that dont work drop the bonnet from about 18 inches high.... If its tight on the catch then you will need adjusting, better to drop the bonnet than dent it with your hand which ive seen hundreds of times

Get someone to operate the open handle inside the car and look on the slam panel if the catch is going back and forth ? if not pry it back and spray some freeing oil on the latch assembly while someone works it

You dont mention what is stopping it closing?
There are rubber stoppers at both corners at the leading edge that you can screw in and out to make the bonnet stop ratteling.
Have a look at that perhaps
