Question STI throttle response - "soft"????

Hi guys

I have a 2003 STI Type UK. Usually I get a great feel from driving her and accelerating up through the gears. The throttle response has been excellent as usually helped feel the cars power.

Lately, and maybe this is a notion to me... but I just feel that the throttle response has gone soft. Sometimes when I'm accelerating through the gears, when I lift my foot off the throttle, it feels like the car continues with throttle for a split second after I take my foot off the gas? I also think the car may be not as excitingly quick as a result?

No mods, only stainless steel exhaust. I also had a WRX before the STI that was "souped up" with exhaust, filter and dump valve, and the feeling kinda reminds me of the way the WRX was sometimes?

Any ideas?

Cheers
Ronan
