Default first major problem please help

Hi all, it al started today when i got a full ECU diaognostic check, first of all the guy couldn't carry out this procedure because my ecu has been chipped and he never had the software to read it.
moving on,my car has been running fine apart from the idle when stopping all over the place.
what we found was the large plastic pipe from the turbo back to the induction kit the jubilee clip had come off ,but checking further we noticed that the other spouts branching of had also snapped thus getting to my point i need a new section of pipe from the joint after the induction kit to the turbo. My next problem is the mechanic has said that in order to remove and refit this section of pipe the 4 branch inlet manifold and everything on top has to be removed to get the job done ,has anyone encounted this problem before and is it an easy job to do or is it one for the experts all of your thoughts please, oh the car is a 98 type r , if anyone knows of someone who has this part or were to get a new one from please email or post a reply thanking you all in advance for your replys.

cheers lee.
