Default dripping water

Had the car idling tonight for quite some time

Noticed a small drip from under the plastic tray under the engine

The water was as clear as tap water and only luke warm, stuck my finger through the hole in the tray and felt a spongy substance (I presume this is what is under the tray on the engine side?).

Drive the car home and the drip continued for a couple of minutes.

Didn't think cars had any clear water in them apart from maybe screen washer but mines got blue washer fluid in.

I do not have air con by the way?

the only thing I can think of it's been pouring down here this morning and just before it started to drip this evening,I went up a small steep incline, maybe some water dripped back?

I have been running it all day though!!

who knows!!?

There is an easy way to tell if its coolant leaking from a hose or the engine,

Put your finger on the stuff and touch the tip of your tongue with it, if its coolant it will have a quite discusting sweet taste.

Not good enough to put in your morning cup of tea and you will have a sore tongue if its battery acid

Use common sense obviously

remove the under tray and have a look.

I expect the sponge soaked up some water when it rained etc.
