Question Is a re-map required after an engine swop

My scoob has the TSL 333 treatment [sports cat exhaust system, uprated fuel pump and ecutek remap].

If the engine blows and requires a complete new engine [or a swop as they do at Api engines] with a new turbo as well, does the car require another re-map?

This assumes the engine and turbo are the same as the items replaced and not upgraded in any way.

Yes, as every car even with the same mods needs its own individual map.

I think the chances of anything going badly wrong are pretty small. Its a very strong engine running well within its capabilities at 330ish.

Get it mapped mate. Best be safe than sorry. I'd rather pay a few hundred quid for a remap rather than a few grand on another engine.
