Default boost solenoid help

hi all

I was having a look at this today and discovered that the bottom pipe coming out of the controller is not connected to anything. It has a piece of hose about 12" long and a white plug with hole in that looks like a restrictor.Does anyone know if this is correct as it doesnt look right.

regards mark

is this close to the airfilter assembly?
If so I have the same where it isnt connected. I know what lead goes into it but if I connect it I get a light on my dash that doesnt go off. Cannot remember what the symbol is that lights up but think it is about 2 places to the left of the check engine light. Noticed this lead wasnt connected when changing my plugs at the weekend.
