Default knock activity

How worried should I be about increased knock activity....

MY00 classic turbo
TEK 3 remap
decat downpipe
STI panel filter

Basically, when accelerating hard through the gears I'm seeing the big red knock light flash when revs get to about 5K , especiallly in 1st and 2nd.
Dont normally get any knock for normal 'enhisiastic' driving.

Should I be worried ?

Note.. Car is also currently suffering from misfire / hesitation on light throttle which I'm also investigating..(see other thread) . Not sure if the misfire + knocj activity is related..

cheers

that shouldnt affect knocking, when was the last time you changed the plugs and leads?4 main rules
1:let it warm up before accelerating over 3k every time,
2: let it cool down properly after runs,
3:dont hit the limiter, i think if you stick by this then you wont have any engine troubles
4:use quality service parts, good oil leads and plugs etc, cut no corners

I have got a new set of leads to go in. Will post results

MAF sensor changed about 10 days ago.... (this was done to try and cure a slight misfire / hesitation on light throttle).

I may put the original one back in because I don't recall seeing this much knock activity previously..

cheers

Put the original MAF sensor back in today... Knocklink activity has now disappeared. Hard acceleration shows no more than first green light.
