Default AVC-R settings

I just installed the AVC-R

Need some advise on settings to get me started.

Looking to set it up for the following parameters

0.5bar in first
0.8bar in second
1.1bar for all the rest of the gears

I have the manual that came with it but my Japanese is not up to scratch

you will need to go into the settings menu and go to the start duty option and adjust it from there.

Would Start Duty equal Target Boost?

Thats right it allows you to reach your target boost. In my car i have the gear judge on too, so that it brings the boost up on the 1st two gears to 1.3 bar.

You'll need to set a 1.1 target, which is the target for all gears. However, you can use a large negative start duty in the lower gears to make it very slow to achieve the target, but it won't run closed loop to different boost levels in each gear. Are you running in the wet on slicks or have a 5 litre engine in there?

Being an old fart that i am, i feel the first and second gear are over a little too quickly

I think this is the way that the Focus RS delivers its power and i like the way it drove

HHHHHMMMM a 5 litre Scooby.........

I do have slicks and Knockhill is usually wet when i venture on
