Default Throttle Sensor

Have an intermitent fault with the throttle sensor can anyone tell me where it is and can it be cleaned or will i have to replace it?

Throttle position sensor sits on top of the throttlehouse, theres a plug with wires going into it, cant miss it

You have to release 2 screws and unplug the harness - and its out.

Installtion is the same but you have to calibrate the sensor using Voltmeter... after plugging the sensor you have to check the output from the sensor (white wire if you have 3 wire sensor), it should be between 0.45 volt to 0.55 on idle (switch on, engine off).

On a 4 wire pre 97 sensor you will have problems getting to the bottom screw with the iscv still on.
On teh 4 wire sensor you have to test the black wire which is the idle switch.
