Default ECU re-map

Looking for a good reputable mapper near by, i live near Buxton High Peak. My car is a 93 wrx,Motorsport fuel pump,FSE reg, parallel fuel rails, equal length headers, full de-cat.STI4 i/c,panel filter,STI 6 RA V limited box. Got told it had a scoobyecu. But on inspection instead of being a small board with 2 chips on, its just a single chip and holder soldered in to the ecu and the resistor cut out. Is it the same? Dont want to run it fully untill its done, as it only had the back box changed when the ecu was done i think.

Cheers for any help.
P.S What are the people at scoobyclinic like as someone gave me there number.

You won't be able to get it remapped the only options open to you will be to get a later Z4 ecu or try and get hold of a Scoobyecu.

Sounds like your J1 link has been cut is there anything in the 21 Eprom holder in the bottom right hand corner ( looking at it as if the yellow connectors are at the top ), by the sounds of it it is a stand alone chip which will have some form of map on it, the one I have in my MY93 is a seperate board which fits into the 21 pin slot.

This is what mine looks like out of the ECU

I believe Scoobyclinic can do remaps on the Scoobyecu's have a look on there website for a price, I think it's £380

21 Eprom holder in the bottom right hand corner
Close its actually a 28pin Eprom holder The chip you have fitted is a 27C1028 which can be custom mapped if you can find someone to do it

Cheers
