Default Lambdalink interpreting....

Hi,

I have just installed my Lambdalink but cant seem to make sense of the random flashing lights. When on full power/acceleration only the last green LED lights up, but the rest of the time it seems to be a bit all over the place, red to orange and back down, flickering here and there....
Is this normal,,,, what should I be looking out for ?

Cheers

This sounds ok, this is indicating the AFR is rich - which is ideal on boost
but the rest of the time it seems to be a bit all over the place, red to orange and back down, flickering here and there....
If you are on part throttle/cruising the display will show random pulses up and down the scale as the ECU will be in 'closed loop mode' thus trying to find stoich (14.7AFR) so what you are seeing is perfectly normal

Thanks for the reply Delboy2,,,

I would like to plumb in a Dawes Device, as long as the Lambdalink LED remains green on boost and no activity on the knocklink, I am ok ???

Thanks again

As long as you only increase the boost in small increments you should be ok - the Lambdalink AFR should only be used as a guide as it is connected to a narrowband lambda sensor so its accuracy is limited keep an eye on the Knocklink
Ideally it would be beneficial to have fuelling checked with a wideband lambda to ensure all is well.

Cheers
