try dumping some octain booster in to see if that improves things, otherwise drive off boost until you're fuel light comes on, drive as far as you dare before filling up (at another garage).

If either of these remedy the problem then I'd go back to the original garage and complain. You might be suprised how many others already have..!

A bloke at my work had some bad shell fuel in his Merc and the engine went bang! Shell paid for all the repairs and some compensation and admitted to a bad batch of fuel.

right...
the only booster i could get my hands on at short notice was a local supplier of that 'NOS' which scarred me for £17.99 and was rated upto 7 points increase. it has calmed it down now i done a few miles and its had chance to mix in but still getting 2/3 lights when normally its just the power indicating its on!!

is it worth calling at the garage and saying something i.e for them to pay for my bottle of NOS (i kept the receipt) just a thought!!!

thanks

tim

Not sure of how good this NOS stuff is (expensive..!) but if the KL has calmed down a bit it would point to poor fuel.

It's definatly worth approaching the garage, as you say if only for the £18 it's cost you so far..!

BTW I'd still take it easy until you fill up with some fresh stuff..!
