HKS Racing suction - overboost???

Default HKS Racing suction - overboost???

Last week I fitted a racing suction kit of which I am extremely happy with, until the other morning on the way to work the boost went from running at 1 bar (normal) to going up to 1.3 then holding at 0.5 for a few seconds then shooting back up to 1 bar, I thought it a little strange as I delved into the idea of getting a fuel cut defencer to solve this maybe??? but about half an hour ago the boost has just held at 0.5 bar in every gear, is this the mass air flow meter gone??? or is it just coincidence??? Or maybe do I need to replace the boost solenoid??? Any info will be greatly appreciated, Thanks....

it may be worth you getting a dawes device to limit the boost to 1bar... should solve the problem of fuel cut and going into limp mode.

Thanks for the speedy reply, will it return from limp mode or will it stay in this state until the ecu is reset???

probably need a reset,

do a search on ere for dawes, there's loads.

Righty!!! I am convinced about getting a dawes, if anyone out there has had bad experiences with the dawes please let me know asap!!! (Purchase very imminent) now, does anyone else have any other suggestions???

Purchased the Dawes device, anyone out there got pics to make fitting even easier, I have the total written guide printed off from the dawes website, but if any of you guys can make it a touch easier I would be very grateful... by the way I own a classic V reg 1999 UK spec.... so pics of the GC8 would help further. Many thanks in advance.
