Default Anyone fitted air con????

I'm considering buying a second hand air con kit as i'm fed up of roasting to death in tha Scoob (MY99)
I was wondering if fitting the kit is a complete pain. Maybe one of you lot who has done it before would accept a £50 beer token to give me a hand to do the job?
Any imput anyone?

May not be so easy otherwise my local Subaru dealer would have done it instead of sub'ing it out to a specialist.

Cost me a grand so why should you get it cheap

I would but i'm not sure i want to mess with someone elses car and all that
I've managed to source the full kit delivered to my door for £185ish, so i'll take that option as long as i find a kind person to help me fit it for some cash

***Update***
With the helpful assistance of Silver sonic i have managed to fit a/c for the pretty decent figure of £250.
The fitting was quite time consuming but not rocket Science (once i had all the correct bits that is - that's another story ). Anyone who is thinking of doing it who is half useful with a spanner - should give it a go
Thanks again Gary

I've got a MY00 and have been thinking of doing the same....

Where did you get the kit from mate (complete??)? also did you manage to put together a set of fitting instructions?

Thanks in advance

I got the kit from API. If you have a uk car you need the uk kit and likewise with a Jap car. It also needs to be from the correct year.
I didn't do any instructions as i took advice from Gary (Silver Sonic). I'd be happy to do some digi pics with some pointers when you get your kit. If you live anywhere near Wakefield then give Silver Sonic a shout as he's quite an expert
