I run an sti v3 type r (Trackcar)with 400 bhp using a RCM Downpipe+centre section / backbox ? / Hks headers/ H+S Up-pipe.

Its measured at Donnington park by a drive by which is 98db

I ran the car at 300 bhp with a prodrive sti8 backbox and was fine but now its 400bhp its 106db

So i ve had a H+S Backbox made with a bung but its twice has loud as the prodrive one and they have offered to give me the money back but dont resolve my problem.(It sounds the nuts though)

Ive ran the car with the original sti backbox and its fine but you cant here nothing its like a fiesta going by.(WE NEED TO HERE THE RUMBLE DONT WE GUYS)

So the question is which backbox can i use that is capable of my needs.

I DONT WANT TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM AND THEN NEED TO RE-MAP THE CAR

Olly at RCM has asked me to try there system with a mid silencer so we will give that ago thurs night.

I'm going to be selling a *custom made H&S Backbox for classic - Extra quiet special order if its any use!?

 

bit more info on the H&S please, eg size , is it sraight through or staggered baffels eg could you roll 2.75" pool ball through it if it was 3 " is there a "bung" to quieten it , and the big one , How much / will you post
