Anyone know if an Afterburner Vortex tail pipe section will fit to a Magnex centre section?

I fancy a change and find myself drawn to the big bore "exiting at a bit of an angle" ***** look of the Vortex.

The Magnex is pretty quiet and I don't mind a bit more noise, but don't want too much "boom" (my car is a wagon, so it's worse)......anyone got experience of these pipes?

Should fit together, I've got tsl centre and up pipe, Jap Innovations downpipe and a Ninja backbox

Seems the Vortex is WELL LOUD!!

Hmmmmm..........I might have to re-consider. Although I do have the resonated centre section, so it may not be too bad (trying to convince myself I think)

 

Have read they are rather loud too, thats why I went for the Ninja.

Did you buy it new? if so I'm sure they'll swap it for you or try it anyway you never know, hope you get on with the neighbours though

 

i have vortex angled back box, ninja res. centre and HKS decat. sounds loud but not annoying loud, its a grin factor i just cant get bored with it. i see it as part & parcel of having a top motor!
Iff you still have the cat on and a res. centre i cant see it being too loud to be honest. - however keep checking im sure your not the only one with the setup and someone will know for sure.

oh and yeh pretty dam sure it will fit to the magnex centre. As the magnex b/box is designed to fit its own centre or the original etc, likewise with the vortex. the back box will fit its own/original or magnex centre. most zorsts are a standard size unlike the blitz afaik which needs its own system (joins in different places)
