i need to remove the EGT sensor (the ine in the downpipe immediately after the turbo), as i have the CEL light on permenantly because of it
i know that you have to use a 2.2ohm resistor, but where do i actually put it? and how to i fit it in etc?
any help appreciated.....

neilo,
Just take out the old egt sensor probe out of the exhaust and fit a bung in its place take the wires from the egt sensor and cut them and throw the old sensor in the bin leaving you with 2 wires and a plug. solder one end of the resistor to one wire and the other end onto the other wire making a bridge and seal with heat shrink then plug it back into the socket by your boost solenoid job sorted. After about 4 or 5 start ups the cell light will go out.

Neil,
Some help on these threads with pictures.
No need to solder the resistor across any wires.
Just disconnect the sensor at the connector near the boost solenoid.
Solder (or just force in) the resistor into the pin holes.
The sensor can the be re-used if its needed again.

Picture of connector about third of way down.

First thread has close-up of connector with resistor in place.
