Default apexi power fc



help needed i am thinking of getting the above but need to know for what year.
the car is a 97wrx p plate but is a pre face lift model but the engine looks different to a mates 96 n reg
the years for the fc are 93/96 & 97/98 how can i tell which one to buy ?

You are going to have to have a look in the passenger footwell at the ECU to be sure.

If your car is a pre facelift (MY96) then it may have had a complete engine swap including loom, or just the phase 1,5 manifold and IC + bits and the MY96 loom modified to suit.

Take a pic of the ECU and post it on here, including any numbers on the cover.

Also what is the model code on the near side front suspension strut?

96 ecu won't run with the wasted spark coil pack sat on the top of that inlet manifold though.

true, I'm not sure there is any OE ECU there if that WI is working

Am I missing something?

you can run WI on any ecu.. will lose power but since when has that stopped people fitting a gadget?
