Default Problems with steering.

A few years back my dealer replaced my steering rack. About a year ago I picked up an infuriating knocking sound to the drivers side wheel, when turning or pulling away intermittently. Too intermittent to prove to dealer, so they tell me it's brake disc movement..........................

Now the knocking is getting quite bad, almost every manouvre, and the last few days I have experienced grinding when turning the wheel to park. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm taking it in Thursday, but as it's been going on a while, I really want it sorted and want to offer some theories to the dealer!

Thanks a lot.....

try jacking up the side where the noise is coming from, then look for movement in any ball joints (whilst wigling) and bushes for anti roll bars, it could be a cv joint, although you only really hear them on full lock in my experience.
