Question Are all OE Subaru Lambdas the same??

Picked one up from dealer to be fitted by local garage on my MY98 STi 4. When they came to fit it I was told it was the wrong one and the put on a universal 4-wire one (considerably cheaper !!).

Part no. is 22690AA360 - I thought that the 3-wire was standard across the board. Do I have one for a new-age/blob??

Were the <MY98 ones different?

Cheers.

Pre 98 were different....they had a longer lead but that is all.

I though all lambdas were the same, but I know all classica definately are the same, not sure about newage.

I don't suppose the garage charged you for the universal one

I suspect they pulled a fast one, assuming the Subaru dealer knows what a lambda sensor is....

Thx mate.

Was charged for the universal - no choice really as it was knackered.

If it turns out that all the OE lambdas are the same and one-fits-all then I ain't going to be chuffed....

Someone must know what that part no. is ?? Can't find it anywhere

I'll see your AA321 and raise you a 360

Different connectors at both ends of the cable??

Thx for the replies.

Neil, the pic you posted is the correct one connector wise. Whether the lead is long enough for a MY98 I don't know. Its too short for pre 97's, thats for sure.

Question

I'm getting a bit confused as I found this one for a MY99 Uk Turbo but it's got two connectors (3-wire) where as these photos look like there are only two wires? Don't know if this will fit, any ideas?
