Default Cruise control

Does anyone have any info about the OEM cruise control systems fitted to Subarus ?

I have an installation guide (http://wac.addr.com/auto/obs/cruise/cruise.html)
and it is very simple.

What I need to know is where to find the correct parts ? I am assuming that the turbo CC might be different to the NA version and it is the NA Sport I want to fit it to. Would Legacy 2.0 NA parts suit or are the CC units specific to the ecu ?

Any help appreciated.

You can fit a 'Cruise Control' to a WRX ???????????????

I do about 18K a year on motorways, and my 04WRX is the only car I've had without cruise fitted. Where do you get the kits from?? I've done a few web searches but found nothing.
Any help and advice very much appreciated!!

This is part of the problem. There was a recall on CC equipped cars in the USA
caused by the CC throttle cable becoming detached. I get the impression from what I have read that the accessory kits were withdrawn rather than fix them all. I think most of the USA Imprezas have CC as standard.

Quite a lot of Legacys are CC equipped so I expect that one of the units will work in the Impreza. There are turbo Legacys too so they will probably work in the WRX. Have you read the article above ?

My local dealership was completely useless.

There are always some Legacy CC units on ebay but I don't know if they will work.
It would be nice to find out.

I seem to be the expert on this at the moment, which is worrying :-)

This shows a wheel swap on a car with cruise all ready fitted. I just wish I could get my hands on the parts.
