Default Intercooler Upgrade

I apologise for bringing this up again and I have read other threads on the subject but just need to confirm a few things.
I have an Sti version 2 Sti Ra (slanty intercooler) and I want to upgrade the intercooler before I get an AndyF remap.
I can source a good sti6 intercooler so my first question is,
1. Will I go ahead and purchase this or is there a better alternative?
2. When people speak of cutting away part of the throttle body, what exactly is involved in this and what parts are cut away?
3. Assuming I go ahead and buy the sti 6 intercooler what other parts do I need to buy before I begin to start.
4. As the sti 6 intercooler looks very tight on my model, will the strut brace have enough clearance to go back in?

Thanks in advance.

At the moment i'm trying to fit a US WRX intercooler to mine. Samco's should appear tomorrow and i'll let you know how i get on.

Unless you wanna start hammer **** out the bracket underneath the ic and cutting at least 5mm off the throttle body AND ic then you might want to consider an STI4 ic or similar.
