Interchangeable Coil Packs

Interchangeable Coil Packs
Quite often suffer from missfire under heavy acceleration and was wondering if rather than buying new coil packs at £60 each whether there was anyway of converting the car (pre-97) to use the 97> coil with leads?
Has anyone tried this?

looked into to it but cost of getting the bits for something that might not work was too much of a risk for me.
You need to buy two 97/98 coils and a set of HT leads.. as the 97/98 also has ignitor not on the coil.. 99 the ignitor it in the coil.
As 97/98 is wasted spark it used to coils, so you need to buy two 97/98 coilpacks and wire them for individual coils.

What condition are they in and how much are you looking for? I have a set of 97> coils and leads so I may have a play around with them first.
Cheers
