I`m considering porting the OE headers on my MY99 prior to a remap, but is it worth the hassle of removing them/porting/replacing, will I see a vast, noticable improvement or just wasting time and effort for gains I`ll hardly notice?

Appriciate any comments.

Hi, did this on mine ( MY00 ), only reason I did it is that it's supposed to make the car quieter, due to the better flow. In that respect for me it was worth doing, but I wouldn't bother rushing to do it before a remap....I reckon for what difference it makes, you could do it afterwards and the map would not be significantly affected.

If done properly then the benefits far outweigh the hassle. When i did mine i noticed quite a difference even on the standard ECU. Now running an Apexi and it appears to breathe very well.
