Question Blue exhaust flames................?

Good evening, I run a MY96 uk turbo wagon with scoobyecu, H&S decat d/p, decat centre and Firestorm b/box along with an HKS performance green panel filter.

Stoke posse went out on a run and I was reliably informed that during downchange approaching roundabouts etc etc from fairly high speed I'm getting the occasional blue flame from the exhaust aswell as the usual pops and bangs.

IS THIS FAIRLY NORMAL.......................????

OR

should I be a little concerned?

I run her on std optimax without octane booster.

Thanx.

Si.

Fairly normal M8 - I wouldn't be concerned with it

I was told that mine spits out a blue flame on changing gear sometimes, usually giving it the berries on the way up the box...

Shows you are running rich ( maybe a bit excessively ) and the fuel burns when it hots the air, having ben heated in the turbo / wxhaust pipe.

Saves you the cost of a flamer kit though!

I get the same on mine. The blue flame indicates that the frame is deficient in oxygen (as it should be up the pipe ) and has lots of fuel.

All good to me
