Default sti 7/8 intercooler

finally got my sti 7 intercooler fitted.
thanx to Adge, Graham(911) and scooby dave for their help and advice

don't know rich still on standard v28 turbo so probably about 320

Just bought one myself, haven't got round to fitting it yet.

How easy a job was it?

why is it not covering the clutch res?

Be careful about the bottom lh corner trapping the boost solenoid hoses against TD04 turbos.
I found when I did this job that the hose was trapped and starting to wear.
I've put a sleeve on the hose to stop this.

Sticky - that's a newage remote res.

Can the Sti8 remote (offset?) clutch res be fitted to the older 'classic' clutch master cylinder?

hi graham. the later version clutch master cylinder replaces the classic one just need to bend pipe from side entry to front entry.
on measuring the P1 intercooler against the sti7 one the distance from 'y' piece to front of intercooler differs by 30mm (its 30mm further away from turbo)I made an adaptor which was 50mm long and then cut 20mm off standard elbow to turbo hose. adaptor uses samco hose 48mm dia x 50mm long. hope thats clear

Ken - I think it only happens on the TD04 because of the wastgate position.
