Default Turbo prblem? or just me?

HI Everyone,

Wonder if anyone can put my mind at rest.

When I drvie my car as normal, I get a kick (head goes back) when the turbo kicks in at about 3000rpm.

But If I drive my car hard from bottom gear to top (usually if im racing a nova sr or some boy racers). The turbo seems to cut down and I dont kget the usual kick when the turbo kicks in.
The dump valve makes a whosh as per normal though.

If i leave the car overnigh, or for about 4 hours, the turbo seems to work great again.

Has anyone come across this? is this normal or some sort of saftey thing cos the turbo is getting hot?

Cheers

P.

Hi, It does it in every gear after I have drove it hard.
But as you replied, I like to drive it hard from 2nd gear, so good guess there.

I appreciate that the car would be low on boost after doing this, but is it normal for it to cut down until the next day??

I really need to get a boost gauge fitted to see what the trubo is really doing.
